Andy Miller has been writing accounts about rock climbing, mountaineering and trekking for over 30 years. Some of these have appeared in journals produced by local climbing clubs and others in national magazines such as Climber and On The Edge. This writing has been collected together in the anthology While Giants Sleep.

He has completed a number of long-distance walks – the 110-mile Tour de Mont Blanc, which he walked alone, the 160-mile Annapurna Circuit in the Himalayas and the 630-mile South West Coast Path of England.

In 2012, selections from his writing featured in Over The Moors, a beautiful guide to rock climbing in the higher moorland of the Peak District produced by the British Mountaineering Council.
